Our Kings & Foundational Males
Castlecatz Grawp of Muggle Cats, Grandsire
Grawp, or as he is known by his full lineage name, Castlecatz Grawp of Muggle Cats, was named 4th Best British Shorthair in the world by CFA. And it’s no wonder why! Just look at his full cheeks, his beautiful, copper eyes, and his plush, blue coat.
Though Grawp is now retired, he is the grandsire of most of our kittens, and you can see his award-winning good looks in every one of them!
Sir Chaucer, Grandsire
Chaucer is another of our foundational males, and, as a double grand champion with TICA, he carries his own proud heritage. Similar to Grawp, he is grandsire to many of our current litters.
Chaucer is a very affectionate boy, and he’s the quintessential example of a big, robust British Shorthair. Just look at his plush coat and broad face! Chaucer is now retired, though his features live on in each kitten in his lineage.
Sunny, Sire
Sunny is our primary sire. His blue eyes and golden shade point fur are the talk of the town, and he knows it. Due to high demand, Sunny is often traveling out of town on “business trips” to our partner catteries.
Most of Sunny’s children inherit his sire’s blue coat, though we often have lilac, chocolate, and other variations. However, every one of Sunny’s children inherit his “sunny” disposition and endearing charm.
Our Queens & Foundational Females
Li’l Rosie, Grandam
Rosie is the Grandam to most of our litters. We call her Li’l Rosie because…well…she’s not at all little! Rosie was foundational to our breeding program and has made a big impact on the competition scene in Portland.
Rosie was named second best British Shorthair in the Northwest and was a double Grand champion with CFA. She was the poster child for the huge CFA show here in Portland, Oregon.
After a successful career, Rosie is happily enjoying her retirement.
Ashley Blue Purrkins, Queen
Ashley is a TICA champion, and she is the masterpiece of our cattery’s first breeder, Shirley Perkins. Shirley worked diligently to improve the breed over 25 years of raising British Shorthair kittens. Ashley was quite young when Shirley passed away, but she had achieved championship status in her very first TICA show.
Coco, Queen
Coco is a Chocolate Scottish Fold. She has a unique combination of intelligence, confidence, and fearlessness. But all of that is tempered by a lovely and affectionate disposition.
Annie Blue Purrkins, Queen
Annie Blue Purrkins is a Blue British Shorthair. She is daughter to Ashley Blue Purrkins, and she has carried on her mother’s legacy as a double grand champion with TICA. Annie was the pride and joy of our family’s first breeder, Shirley Perkins.
Lady Jadis, Queen
Lady Jadis is a Silver Tabby British Shorthair. She is an especially affectionate cat and loves children.
Pollyanna, Queen
Polly is a Lilac British Shorthair. Not to be outdone by our other queens, she is a grand champion with TICA.
