Located in Portland, Oregon, Home and Hearth Cattery specializes in CFA and TICA-registered British Shorthair kittens.
As a family-run business, we believe that raising these exceptional kittens as part of our home—rather than in cages or enclosures—results in well-adjusted, loyal, and affectionate companions.

Our cats not only win the hearts of everyone they meet but also boast a proud record of earning multiple titles and awards from both CFA and TICA. We are passionate about this beautiful breed and love sharing it with the world.

Why Adopt from Home & Hearth

Our family has been breeding British Shorthair kittens for over three decades, and we love each kitten as our own. When you adopt from us, your kitten will be fully socialized, friendly, and litter-trained. Many of our cats grow up to be TICA and CFA champions, one of our distinguished gentlemen is a Nordstrom model (he’s wearing the bowtie in the pictures above), and the grandsire of most of our kittens was named 4th Best British Shorthair internationally by CFA.

More importantly, our kittens make excellent house pets. British Shorthair kittens are known for their soft, plush coats, their calm and gentle nature, and being affectionate without being needy. They are great with dogs and other cats, and ours are especially good with children as well (thanks to plenty of love and attention from our 5-year-old granddaughter!).
